Meals

TNS Catering provide our academy meal service.

Payments for lunches and breakfast club are made on ParentPay or at a local Paypoint. Please ask at the academy office if you need any help with this.

Academy meals

We have a choice system for lunches. Children choose which lunch they want at the beginning of the day. They are able to choose from a selection of four main courses which include vegetables as well as a choice of two puddings.

You can see the menu for this half term by clicking on the link below.

A lunch costs £2.10 (£10.50 a week), this should be paid in advance or on the day. We are not able to provide a lunch if arrears go beyond two weeks.

Packed lunch policy

As an academy we aim to promote healthy lifestyles and as a fundamental part of that, a balanced diet.  If your child is bringing a packed lunch into school we recommend that this includes:

1. sandwich / wrap

2. one piece of fruit per day

3. one dairy item per day

4. at least two ‘fresh water days’ per week to encourage children to drink more water

5. baked snacks/crisps low in saturated fats

Our policy states:

• no chocolate (including chocolate spread) or sweets

• only one form of cake or biscuit per day

• pure fruit juice or flavoured water only – no fizzy or sugary drinks (for consumption at lunchtime only)

More information about healthy eating and the importance of a balance diet for children can be found at: https://heas.health.vic.gov.au/schools/healthy-lunchboxes

We have a number of children in our school who have an allergy to nuts including: Peanuts, Peanut butter, Nut oils, Nut flavourings, etc… Touching or eating these items may provoke a severe allergic reaction requiring urgent medical assistance. For the safety of the children we ask that parents do not to send any food containing these items to school.

Breakfast Club - temporarily closed due to Covid19 restrictions

The academy has a breakfast club, which is held every day in the community hall from 8.00 to 8.45am.  There is always cereal; toast/jam; and/or beans/spaghetti/cheese on toast with orange juice/milk. After breakfast the children play games with the supervisor until it is time to go to their classes.

There is no booking system, children can come for the whole week or odd days. It costs £1.50 per session which should be paid in advance or on the day. If children do not want to take a breakfast the cost is 50p per session. There is no charge for children who are or have been eligible for free school meals.
